Particle sim and drag shape

Hello Everyone,

I'm having trouble understanding why simply adding the drag shape attribute to a particle sim changes the results so much even with the default value of {1,1,1}.

If my reading of the docs was correct, drag shape is assumed to be {1,1,1} unless otherwise specified, so I would expect that adding the attribute would result in an identical sim.

I have a simple setup with only a popwind affecting the particles. If I then add a pop property node before the wind and turn on drag shape the sim behaves very differently. In addition to that, modifying the drag shape values to extreme values like {1000,1,1} has zero effect.

Is there something fundamental I am missing? Is this expected behavior? A bug?

I've attached a simple file to better illustrate what I mean.

Thanks everyone!

Well that definitely helped a ton. The results still aren't identical but at least it's actually working. I figured it would be something simple.

Thank you!
