Coming to H from C4d and XP.

Is there a way to set the initial state of a vellum cloth sim? So instead of waiting 20 frames for it to drape over a model, it just “starts draped”?

Or am I better off just simming the whole thing….

On the Vellum Drape node there is a “Freeze at frame” checkbox. Set that to the frame you want to start with and check the checkbox. You can also save the state at frame “…” to disk so you dont have to redo the draping every time you open the file.

I'm using a vellum constraints cloth into a vellum solver, and there is no freeze at frame…

Freeze is on the Vellum Drape node.

Hi bumping up this thread, since I have questions about the drape node.

Vellum drape is also a vellum solver?
So my line of connections the nodes would be cloth-drape without the solver right?

And then to continue I add a solver under the drape?
