In this tutorial, we are going to learn how to create and simulate cloth with vellum. We are going to explore the same workflow as Marvelous Designer and you will see it is pretty simple to create and simulate cloth in Houdini.
I don't know that they were created in Houdini but it would be pretty quick and easy to create animations like that with the new Vellum solver in H17. 9Apps [9appsapk.vin] VidMate [vidmateapp.vin] VLC [vlc.vin]
Regarding the camera moves, are you referring to the timing changes? You could also animate the timescale for simulations but for something like this I would probably just do it in post. For such short shots it wouldn't be too cumbersome to sim and render at 120fps with a 50% timescale and then interactively adjust speed using Twixtor in post.
