Hello,

I'd like to give more simulation power to my FXman and give him a few renderNodes of our renderFarm (with Deadline)
But i'm wondering what type of licence is needed for simulation with Houdini ? (Bgeo.sc generation) I can't find any ‘simulation licence’ on the website.

Thanks !

You'll need “Houdini engine” licenses (one license per node), the one on the right column here: https://www.sidefx.com/buy/#houdini-studios [www.sidefx.com]

If you do a lot of simulation overnight: Interactive licenses can also be used as engines. So if your other artists are not in for night shifts, you can use the interactive licenses to simulate on the farm.

The same license type covers both use cases.
