Hi,

I am trying to figure out how to see my point colors in shaded mode with no lighting to change the colors that are viewed. In SOPs they seem to show up perfectly in Wireframe or Hidden Line mode, but as soon as I turn on Smooth Shading there is another light contribution going on. Even at the Object level I still don't get the correct result. (I turned off Specular Lighting too.)

I can copy the point color attributes to clr and do a render with a Constant SHOP and get exactly what I want. Even turning off “Use Lighting” for the GL display doesn't get it right. I tried using a VEX Shaded display in the Viewport but this doesn't work at all. (Does the VEX Shaded view stuff work with point colors?) I

Any ideas? I hate to say it, but this is easy to do in Maya…

Thanks,
Craig
