Guys I need a hand from the Houdini gurus. Supposedly this is a simple question which I cannot find a simple answer to…

I have created volume trails, which I have colors individually through attribute randomize (primitive). Then I create a polywire for all the trails and I lose the primitive color (which I guess is due to primitives being faces of the polywire). How can I color all the 3500 polywires individually rather than just coloring the faces randomly? So far I tried to transfer the attribute which didn't work. Create an Id (class) for each polywire but can't quite make the leap to coloring them and having full control over the color range…

Haven't got the file on me, but I'll upload it tomorrow!

after you randomized your color per primitive
promote it to point (Attrib Promote)
polywire
if needed promote back to prim
