This one is noisy. Takes way to long to clean up.
How long are we talking about? I was secretly hoping Karma would fix, at least partially, Mantra slowness…

Most was around half an hour. I did not keep track, but rather wanted to see what the shader looks like.

Noise is a problem, and to get rid of it, render time will go up. I hope Sidefx will improve on this.

Thanks for the tests. Ive been using Random walk as well. Decent results but like you say noise is an issue.

Also can someone tell me if there is a way to increase or set the number of subdivisions for tessellation for displacement. All i can do is turn on subd for the object but i don't know how tessellated it will get for render.

Yes, you can change the dicing level by using a Render Geometry Settings node.

Bahh my tests arent anything special. Im gonna pour more time into this renderer, its the future however im gonna be spending time refining my grooming workflows.
