Unexpected behaviors with exported models

Hi all, hope you are well.

I'm exporting an STL to try to 3d print a decoration - it has these little clips which are imported .obj files. When I export the finished design from houdini and import into prusaslicer there are almost like “geometry breaks” in places where the model has had boolean operations, it behaves as if they were separate, discrete geometries and it makes the part really weak if 3d printed (see first screenshot.)

It seems to be the same geometry with no internal geometries in houdini (see second and third pics) but I'm wondering if there's some other parameter that is sticking in the exported STL that is causing this, or if there is some operation I can do to clean the geometry further. At the moment I am sending it through both a lab voxel mesh and polyreduce to try to resolve this, and neither is working unfortunately. It's driving me crazy, I've been stumped for a few days now.

Any help would be crazy appreciated!

Thanks
