I'm generating the following geometry similar to corals growth. I'm having two problems:
1-Creating the same surface with zero width (single sheet).
2-Make the growth only in one direction.

I would recommend that you Stick with L-system and Metaballs you can Build everything that grows from Nature in that System ..
