Materials dissapear on object merge (but only one stream)

Hey,

I was hoping someone could help me with an issue I've encountered regarding a sim. I'm sure it's an easy fix, but I'm banging my head against a brick wall trying to figure it out.

If I highlight the dopnet in my project, the materials I've added to the box and sphere further up the stream show in the IPR (I'm using Octane). If I highlight the other stream, which is a superquad shape, that will also show the correct material. However, once I merge them, only one stream shows the correct materials.

Could someone take a look at what I've done and perhaps point me in the right direction for a fix?

Hey sarahjenkins,

you can unpack your rbd Objects after the dopnet to gain access to the shop_materialpath attribute again.
As you have packed it in the copy to points node.

rather than unpacking you can try adding material assignments on top of packed

1. insert Pack SOP after your box1 and torus1 nodes (just before their respective material SOPs)
2. on copy to points uncheck Pack And Instance as they are now already packed
