Point deform not working on edge fractured vellum object.

Hello there.

I have a vellum sim where i tear some cloth apart using the edge fracture sop.
For the render i want to use a high res geo but somehow the point deformed object is not tearing...
here are two pictures of the same frame where you can see the problem. maybe some one here can help me
with this

High res geo pre torn to match?

hm no the high res point deform is not tearing at all. the second picture is the low res sim and the top one the point deform mesh
which is not tearing somehow...

ok, well you just repeated your first post instead of answering mine. So, did you pre tear the high res geo also? If not it CANT tear, how could it?!

no i just put it at the side with a null before the tearing and use the low res mesh for tearing...
sure makes sense that it has to be torn too.
but then i can use the high res mesh right away when it needs to be torn too right?!?
sorry, little houdini newbie here sir.
