Apple just released the Mac Studio with the M1 Ultra chip (basically 2x M1 Max). Seems quite capable and Houdini was featured both in the promo videos as well as in some benchmarks. I wonder, is Apples marketing really true in that the M1 Max version inside the Studio actually matches a 16 core Xeon and that the M1 Ultra is quite a lot faster? To me that seems a little extreme and begs the question if A: is this chip clocked higher in the Studio? and B: does this mean that there is a native Houdini version now? or just C: marketing...

I pointed this line out some time ago already...
