Trying to instal Houdini to my new iMac.
But, it shows that I can not use safari to downloading the Houdini?
Is that true? Can any one help me or answer me ?

What kind of issues are you encountering when you try to download with Safari? Personally, I use Safari on Mac to download Houdini via the Production Builds page [www.sidefx.com], which has always worked well for me.

As with Dave, downloading Houdini using Safari works fine here.

It sounds like you might be trying to download through the Houdini Launcher app. I cannot use Safari to sign in for licensing through Houdini Launcher, it will always result in a msg saying that Safari is not supported and to use a different browser, which does work.

The Houdini Launcher can't authentic via Safari (because of MacOS security I'm guessing) - what I did was install Firefox, set the default browser (temporarily) to Firefox, open Houdini Launcher, sign in - and then go back to Settings and set the default browser back to Safari.

Its small hurdle, and small workaround to get Houdini installed via the Launcher on MacOS.
