Help adding point ids to geometry with fluctuating point numbers

I have a flip sim that's been surfaced and merged and mixed and cached out and no longer has point ids. I want to retime it with a retime sop to slow it down but I need to add some point ids back into it.

I tried modifying some other code that captures the frame and adding the point number to create kind of a stamped point number based off the frame. But the retime is still super funky.

Is there a way to assign point ids and store them on geo where the point numbers are constantly fluctuating?

the flip solver can generate consistent point IDs even with reseeding.
is under the paticle motion tab

in case Ive misread what you are trying to do. If you want to retime the generated mesh you are a bit out of luck.
Retime the points and mesh afterwards
