Scaling without an Edit SOP

Hi, I have only been using Houdini for a week, though I am loving it and very much looking forward to being able to ditch Maya completely.

I have been watching a tutorial I found on Vimeo. In the tutorial the guy is able to first create his GEO node, go inside it and create a box SOP and then attach a copy SOP. He then scales the box from within the GEO node.

When I try this Houdini keeps placing an edit SOP after the copy SOP.

I thought enabling Create in Context might do the trick, but to no avail.

Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Thanks

select the box in the network then hit ‘enter’ in the viewport
or just use the parameters of the box to do the scaling

There are various tools at the geometry level which let you transform geometry in local space. You can scale in the Copy SOP, you can use Transform SOP, Primitive SOP etc. Edit SOP is OK for tweaking, but it's not procedural so it's unusable for animation. Using a transform SOP for example let's you animate the scaling, in local space.
