Hi,

I had a liscensed version of Houdini installed on my computer, and my liscense is valid until January of next year. However, XP just died and destroyed all of registry settings. Along with the files lost was the email that my liscense password was on.

I tried to e-mail sidefx support but for some reason I couldn't send any mail to the support e-mail address on the site.

Is there any way to get my password back quickly?

Thanks

Well, your license file is not in your registry. I would think, if you reinstall Houdini, your license files wil still be intact.

check in your c:\Windows\keys directory
you should have a file called ‘licenses’
you can open it in notepad and see what licenses you have available

if the dir and files are there you should just have to install Houdini again and it will find you keys.
