Hi, I'm new here, and was wondering if someone can help me understand why Houdini is crashing for me. It crashes everytime when I try to interface with the menus, and when I try to execute Houdini afterwards. I have the latest build at the moment and the lastest nvidia drivers. I have tryed getting Houdini to run for many months now but I have always had the same problem.

You haven't given us enough information to be helpful. What computer are you using, how much ram, what OS.
Do you mean you have attempted to start houdini from a menu? If it launches what is it you do that then causes it to crash?
When Houdini crashes it generates a log file that will help analyze what it was doing at the moment of the crash.

I mean it crashes when I interact the menus within Houdini.

I'm using a Compaq Presario running Windows XP Home SP3, with 1 gig of ram, an Athlon 64 3500+, and a Geforce 7600GT 256mb card.

Where does Houdini output the log file?
