Wondering if it's possible, with all the power of Houdini, to recreate Massive (or other character AI) functionality in Houdini? Or setup character procedural animation (e.g. walk, jump, catch, throw etc. nodes with CHOPS) and ragdoll-like behaviors?

If yes, any tutorials or assets out there that would provide a glimpse of the setups?

Hello,

I personally think it's not possible to recreate Massive with H.
Massive is a stand-alone application and uses fuzzy logic. Also it can handle large crowds of hundreds and thousands.
You can also import motion (motion capturing), assign actions (walk, run, stand) and then trigger those actions from the ‘brain’.
Every large production that needs crowds uses Massive. Massive is the best.

Comparisons with Massive aside, large crowds scenes have definitely been done in Houdini in production films.
