Trigger for collision

Hi All,

I've managed to build a little network now that separates a mesh into separate polygons. And attached those to a particle operator. Now I would like to use the switch node to turn that particle system on or off depending if a object is hitting the polygon.
In my simple exampe I've made a grid, and animated a sphere going through it.

So… what can I use to get the collision to trigger?

Here is a little video showing what the effect is. What I would like to have is a Cube that goes through the torus and that triggers each particle to use it's forces.

Anyone has any idea?

Hi Stefan.
Thanks for the video it makes things a bit clearer.Take your box that you want to turn into a trigger and using it in a group POP turn it into a bounding object to trigger the pop forces.

Sure is buddy, you still doing the usual rounds in London ?.

Before I check your example I'm gonna watch more tutorials and read some. Just been reading about groups and I think I need a few more days to figure out a few things. The quicktime looks like what I was after though. I just think I'm gonna study some more and see if I can come up with the solution myself first That way I'm learning more.

Still at rsp? Still happy aussie? I stopped freelancing in London a while ago and went back to stockholm, and became a dad..

Now I have another question (related to this). I've managed to get it all working. And now I'm importing a OBJ object and attach a point cache to it (mdd). While all of that is working, the particles refuses to follow the faces.

So I'm thinking that I might need to get a $PR and take each $PR ID and attach 1 particle to it. But…

I don't know, going to have a little thinker about it
