Hey,

I wonder what you guys think.
Would you find it helpfull if Sesi did provide Debian and RPM packages for houdini?

I run houdini in Ubuntu Studio 64bit.
If I had no problems with stability and performance,
I would have probably never switched from WinXP 32bit.

Already in one day, I learned to love Ubuntu-Studio and don't want to go back again.
Though, I'm not that experienced with linux systems, so plz don't hurt me if I'm wrong here.

I'd like to have houdini integrated into my package management
and have this ease of use when I update to another build.
Especially, if you are more an artist than a TD that could be
one hurdle less when you're trying houdini for the first time.

Cheers

I'm not so sure how well Houdini would play with a package manager. It's a big app and there are a few issues that make it not well suited for something like Synaptic. IMO the current system works well. It guess it could be a little scary if you're not familiar with the shell, but do it a few times and it's no problem, honest.
