In “The Magic of Houdini” by Will Cunningham I read about Stamp in the Copy SOP (Chapter 6 - "Attack of the Be-Tentacled Sphere). It's magic! Tell me please, where can I read more about using Stamp technique in the Copy SOP?

Look at the docs online:

http://www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini10.0/nodes/sop/copy [sidefx.com]

At the bottom, there is a series of examples that use copy stamp.
That should be a good start

Thank you!
I completed tutorial “Copy the star onto the sphere”. Then I added Transform node between Sphere1 and Copy1 nodes. I want to rotate the sphere with the stars. When I rotate sphere by “rotate” parameters of new Transform (xform2) node, stars rotates too around its local axis. What is the problem?

Try a Primitive SOP instead and make sure to use $CEX, $CEY and $CEZ in the pivot channels.

Does that work for you?
There's at least one school like the old school!

Jeff!
It doesn't work. When I changing “Rotate” parameter in the Primitive SOP, sphere deforms. I attempted to delete pivot channel in Primitive SOP. After this sphere stops to distort, but stars still rotates. I don't understand why! Tell me please, why when I making transformation with sphere, some stars don't inherit this transformation (rotation)?
