when i am working with different apps, in my case with modo and XSI, i need to do the UV setting the items as “Linear UV” with this i can work fine painting in modo or Zbrush.
i was trying to see where is that option in Houdini to tell the UV to be linear or Smooth them as the subdivisions?
It helps with the question if you described what this option in other packages actually does. Try turning off the “Smooth Vertex Attributes” parameter on the Subdivide SOP.
