Hi

I have two separate obj with different material for each and merged.
I have UV Texture sop for each obj as well and merged together.
when i assign different material to each obj in material palette that only applies to both objects. I can not assign different material separately to each obj. In two separate UV Texture sop I only can see either one of the texture i painted.

I did drag and drop the material to each obj. Why i can not separate the material in two different UVTEXTURE Sop for two different objs that merges. I also have two different material sops that merges.

Strange thing is everything was fine and i could tweek around to fit the texture i painted to each object using UVTexture sop. It changed for some reason. However, When click merge sop I can see two different textures assigned separately to two different objs. May be i touched something. Can any one help me please.

I haven't looked at your files, but it sounds like you have the Material sop below the merge.
You could put a separate Material sop below each of the UVTexture sops and assign materials that way.

Better would be to create unique group names for each of your objects then use a single Material sop below the merge to assign materials to each group.

A material sop is going to assign a material to everything that is passed into it, unless you specifically declare that it shouldn't.

Okay, looked at your file and I've posted a version that incorporates what I was talking about.
I'm not sure why you were using both a UVproject and a UVtexture sop together.

On another note, you should clean up your files before sending them, so that it works. You deleted your bones and so the capture/deform sops were no longer valid.

Sorry, no I can't. I've downloaded the file back to my computer and it loads fine to Houdini. Try downloading again?

Ah, I think that means the browser isn't recognizing the file. Hold down the Control key and click on the file to download.
