Hi, I got the same problem, but in c4d with octane vdb. In my case the density was too high.
May be that can help.

sami.tawilThanks…. that helped me tooo
hey alex
i fixed your file i changed quiet a lot and simplified it, will be good for you to study the file
-try to work with real scale for realistic behaviors, houdini works that way.
-8 steps for sim is overkill.
-you don't need a proxy systematically
-one of the best thing to look at to resolve penetration is the mesh collision. volume, as well as the particle separation parameter.
-adding viscosity as small as it is will help also.
-i disabled particle reseeding also.
hope it helps
PS: i think everyone who starts houdini actually start with the liquid/glass sim
search forums this question came a thousand times.

Help !! How to make a cake(softbody) break as it falls on the floor. ? (Project file attached)
I am trying to apply some softbody fracture using houdini to my cake model. My problem is, when i meddle with the values like fracture thresshold, volume stiffness, i am not able to get the exact cake or bread breaking process. instead the mesh scrables if i decrease the fracture threshold… Help. Please..
