Solaris and Karma » Deadline submitter and plug in

I very much hope(d) that Houdini would bring out its own queue by now. I just want to click a button to put a job in the queue that gets rendered in the background. I know deadline is good for large production houses but it's unnecessary for me to have all these dials and knobs. Is Hque something I should look into?

Just ordered the M4Max with all the cores. Looking forward to trying it out, just waiting for that XPU support so I can ditch redshift.

I'm looking for a way to get a glow in Karma, is there a way to have a simple glow without going into another DCC?

The Houdini to Niagara plugin doesn't seem to work for MacOs, searching for this topic in the forum reveals a 3 year old post which had a version which might have worked but sure doesn't right now. Is there any hope for this plugin to be updated so MacOs users can actually use it?

Just search on Qiita web site
"Tello-Python-Houdini"
Have Fun.
Thank you so much. The client actually has their own translation software so "all" I have to do is create the flightpaths for the drones. It would be enough to move points in space and work with Cd attributes.
I am looking for a way to smoothly animate between shapes(a flock of drones into trees into spheres for instance) but I need to make sure I respect certain limits as described before. Popnets seem like they make sense but maybe blendshapes would work? Would love to hear some thoughts, thank oyu.

Looking for advice and experiences using houdini to direct drone shows.
Intuitively it tells me to use a POPNET with different goals to blend between different animating shapes, making sure each ID follow properly and setting certain limits(velocity, acceleration and spacing).
Does anyone have any experience in this particular field? I'd love to pick your brain or get some advice.
Thank you.

Hey everyone, I'm making a "wave in a room" using the Wave Tank setup.
Everything is going well but I'd like it if one side of the wave tank is like a window for the water to smash into. Looks like turning on "Boundary Collisions" isn't the way to go and using a box as a collision object doesn't get me any good results(because of the initial-surface of the wave tank maybe?)
Attached is a hip file and a picture to show you where I am now.
Thanks a lot.

Technical Discussion » Image metadata

I have a model that is being split in a few parts which get assigned different materials and string detail atrribs.
When I render I need to be able to embed metadata into the files. I have no idea where to start, is that a post-script function? So I'd like to have metadata along the lines of "Model=1 - Part=1 - Material=wood", things like that. I don't really know where to start with that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am rendering with Redshift if that makes a difference
