Houdini Indie and Apprentice » Indirect light intensity is higher with surfaces close to each other

Hi Guys,

I have to render an indoor scene with light coming through a window. Of course the interior is too dark without indirect lighting.

I put in the GI Light from the shelf and now its a lot more realistic but it looks like surfaces which are close to each other are affected more by the indirect light which in reality should be darker (yellow circles) .. it kind of looks like photons bounce between these surfaces and increase the intesity of the indirect light. Is there a proper method to avoid this?

I hope someone can help me. I've googled a lot but didnt really find something useful or only old post from 2009.

Thanks alot
