The warning is coming from the PNG library. It should be safe to ignore, however if you want to remove this warning, you will need to remove the offending profile. If you have ImageMagick, you can run:

Houdini Lounge » Weird noise in speaker seems to be from Houdini & GPU?????!!
- johnmather

If it's a high-pitched sound coming from the GPU itself when it's active, it's most likely coil whine. If it's noise coming from your speakers while it's active, you may have a possible ground loop. Unfortunately we can't do anything on the software side to fix a physical issue. Ground loops can be tricky to track down, so it's best to read up on them and perform some experiments. This is a pretty common issue, so you should have no trouble finding some guides or tips on how to do so.
I've personally had this issue, and it's maddening. I wish you all the best in your search for a solution!

Sure. You can find some examples here: https://www.sidefx.com/docs/hdk/_h_d_k__g_a__using.html [www.sidefx.com]

There is also this comment in GA_PageIterator.h above GAparallelForEachPage:

For non /// trivial loops explicit binding may be safer.

It seems to be related to your MaterialX shaders. If I disable the material nodes, I get a lot more performance.

Gotcha!
At first glance, the slowdown seems to be inside the GL drivers. I'll discuss with my colleagues internally and see what we can do about it.

Correct. What you can do is open the Houdini Engine menu in Maya, go to Debugging and then choose View Assets in Houdini. This will show you how Houdini sees the Maya scene. You will then see the attributes that are being passed into the HDA that you can utilize.

When you paint vertex colors in Maya, they are brought over into Houdini as Cd attributes. You can use these to drive your mask.
See here for all of the attributes that you can use: https://www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini/maya/mesh.html [www.sidefx.com]

Regarding Alma Linux, be aware that it is no longer bug-for-bug compatible with RHEL, and we do not test on Alma, so your mileage may vary. See: https://almalinux.org/blog/future-of-almalinux/ [almalinux.org] Rocky Linux continues to be however.
Pascal WiemersYou can find some workarounds here: https://www.sidefx.com/forum/topic/85629/ [www.sidefx.com]
Houdini installed fine but as you said the help menu won't load properly. Any pointers to how to get that working? Would be greatly appreciated!

Which OS are you using? Are your drivers up to date? If you are using Linux, make sure that you're using the proprietary Nvidia drivers and not the Nouveau drivers.
