Hello, I used to aply materials in crowds whith the materialStylesheet, and link whit a script in shops to random textures. There is any way to aply random textures in karma render inside crowds (paked geometry)?
Someone at least the theory.
And question 2, its ok to import to lops the crowdsource with the sopimport? it is a little slow, and the viewport is heavyer. Thanks.

Thank you both for the comments, very helpfull. In my Old hackintosh I had a gtx 970 and was painful how much it crashes, maybe was that, or maybe the permission, never check that. Some one near to me is offering a

Hi Im an Ubuntu Houdini user, but I miss OSX a lot, for a lot of reasons that I dont pretend explain here. Im thinking to try, one more time a Hackintosh. I had a Not that good experience in houdini and Hackintosh, because when I had it, it crashes a lot, of course in ubuntu almost never happend. I would give another oportunity to hackintosh but whit a new gpu. So the question is, if I have to buy a new GPU, Im sinking to expend something like 600-700 euros (new or used, maybe a quadro), what do you recommend? Remmember that the key point is Hackintos and off course, houdini.

Maybe someone from SideFX could give me a hint, I love mantra, but I’m a indie user, living in Argentina, I need a faster engine. Should I wait to mantra gpu (I would love this, even if you need to pay more for it) or should I forget that dream and buy redshift or Octane or whatever I chose when I need that speed. The times of the real market is confronting all the time whit Mantra. Now clients want 4K and it is madness.

I need to apply different fireball shaders within the same simulation, to the different volume sources. There is a way to group them or how to apply different colors to the different fires that are generated. I need to generate red and blue fires of different explosions. It only occurs to me for now to make different simulations for each explosion.

Hi, Im using this as a scrip in the stylesheet for random textures in crowds, the problem is that Im using different materials but the same expression in every script, so the random is the same in all the materials. In resume I need a to add a seed to the rand expresion for a different random. Anyone can help?

Hi, im trying to use a ramps node in the displacement of the principled shader. A read in an older post that you need to create a custom displacement shader for that. How do you do that if is necesary? There is any easier solution? Traing to achive this effect in a grid.

I add an scatter and 5 atribcreate each with a different point group and a different state in the in of the crowdsource, I suppose that it isn't the more elegant solutions but works great.
