Hi,
as far as I can see the parting happens in the hair generate. The Partinglines are needed with a partinglines primitve group and the attributes N, partingradius and partingstrength on the points. Check if they are on the guides.
I lost the partinglines and attributes along the way through the sims.

Hey there,
to solve this issue apply a rest node to the guides before the hairgen. To generate new skinprim attributes also insert a guide skin attribute lookup. This should be it.

you saved me, because I didn't know how to animate in soft pin constraints and using an expression on vellumconstraintproperties made it possible.

Hi,
I just stumbled upon this thread because I encountered the same problem and I know this thread is a few years old.
The problem in my case was that the points were missing a pscale attribute and voila they connected just fine.
