Hi Seemag,
Do you know anyway to apply the materialW direction per point and controlling it using line of action? Similar to what ziva's zfiber constraint does?
Thanks

I have two collider geos coming into vellum solver. But I want my cloth to collide only with one and I want another geo to use only for attaching constraints. How do I do that?
Thanks!
Thanks!

hey,
I am trying the same thing, Did you have any luck with that?
Wondering how can we control/drive tet fibers as the muscles deform.

Hi Guys,
I am trying to achieve an effect where two geos are sliding against each other during simulation.
Using vellum stitch constraint make them follow each other perfectly. I want an effect where they are attached in Y and Z but not in X direction.
any thoughts?
Thank you!

Technical Discussion » Vellum Drape not looking natural, scale issue?

Hi Guys,
I am facing an strange issue with Vellum. I am trying out the latest Houdini v17.5 and following H17 master class vellum tutorial from here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fe–nF-BvOQ&t=383s [www.youtube.com]
In my scene, the vellum doesnt seem to react in a same way as shown in the tutorial.
First, while resampling the curve, I had to use higher value of “length” attribute unlike the video, same for the fuse node - higher snap distance value. But in the video, he could get away using very low values.
Second, the default drape is not looking natural, its looking very stiff as if there is no gravity/mass applied.
I thought there was something wrong with the scale, I tried changing the Uniform Scale value of Geo sop, but it doesnt create any difference.
I am attaching the hip and alembic file, its a very basic scene. If anyone can take a look at my scene and help me figure out whats wrong, that will be great.
Thanks,

Technical Discussion » Carbon Collider not working

Hello,
I am testing the carbon solver in houdini 16.5. I have an alembic cache of a character exported from maya. Importing it into houdini using “alembic” node works fine but when I connect it to “Numerion_carbon_collider” node, the alembic stops working.
any ideas why its doing that?
Thanks,
Rohit
