Hi,
I am trying to import a .obj file from an external volume, under volumes I can see the volume name but when selecting is empty and on the selection window it does appear it's name but no folders, I notice a red background color where the volume name goes, I do have access normally within finder and I can see all the files. I am on a MAC M2 OS Ventura, any advise please?.

Hi,
I had noticed that Houdini License Administrator changes the server code every time at launch, causing the Houdini app to not start at all, can someone please post any information about why the server code changes every time when I launch the app?.

Exactly, at this point corrected. Now I am facing another issue, after the "Attribute VOP" there are two"Attribute Wrangle" nodes added, 1: "ADD_MYNEAR_ATTR2" located under the "Attribute Copy", and 2: "TRIGG_BY_DIST2" located after the null "EX_3D", I am using the same 'Radius parameters" In the wrangle nodes to control the color propagation in the inside faces of the geometry but after playing the values I can not get the same result as the tutorial, I had attached a new scene file and agree capture.
Anyone able to help, I appreciate the time taken to review the scene file.

Hi,
My apologies for all the inconveniences, OK I am attaching a new scene file, within the Geometry node there are two setups, the original from the tutorial and the one I had created "names also on each setup", up to the point where a add the Attribute VOP is added to separate the pieces from the fractured geometry my results are completely different in my setup there are no fragmente peces but distorted geometry, I had followed everything in detail, hopefully someone can help me.

Xue_YueHello, I am on a MAC M1, could that be issue?.
When these spikes appear after you apply a normal node, then it is a viewport issue (because the normal node won't displace your vertices).
My first suspect would be the driver for your graphics card. Is it the latest version? Or if you have the latest you could try the latest stable driver before that.

That looks like viewport redraw issue. You can try to recreate the viewport. Restart Houdini, etc.
Also play with point, vertex normals, that could force reupdate.

Hi,
I am in the process of learning Houdini, I am following a tutorial to UV map a model, at minute 4:11 a partition node is added, in Houdini 19.5 that node is deprecated and the suggested node to use is: Groups from names but I can't figure it out how to set it correctly I get this error: Missing attribute name, any advise please?.

In this case the n-sided polygons seem to cause the problem,not sure,but you can try triangulating them with remesh/divide SOP before extruding

I had imported a illustrator file, then extruded, then I had applied the Poly bevel node but I had encountered several issues, can someone please take a look at the capture provided?.

The noise option it worked, I just need to increase the part number in the last letter, it was only fractured in 3 pieces.

It would help if you could post a hip file, but probably you can probably fix this by turning the noise to "None" in the "Fog Volume" settings.
