same issue here. cant help in reproducing the problem since it happens randomly. Generally i think the 3d viewport needs improvement. Especially when it comes to Modelling. Its just frustrating sometimes

i had similar issues few years ago. windows crashing most 64bit software.
only solution i found was reinstall of the whole OS.
in the end i figured out it was my ssd drive.
usually it happen after windows made a checkdisk
on launch and tried repairing something.
your problem might be differnt. not sure. but i remember it also was telling me about MSVCR90.dll..

did you try hit “ctrl - c” in the python shell?
i once had similar problems when i went in fullscreen i got a random debug message popping up. I never found out why but i could stop it by pressing ctrl c in the python shell.
Maybe its the same issue.

hi,
hope i understand what you are trying to do correct.
below the attributeCreate you can add 2 groups for each leaf and:
group by expression: $PAIR == 0
group2 by expression: $PAIR == 1
then the material dont add it on the geometry but instead add a material sop below the 2 groups. there you can add your 2 materials to each group and on one you can overwrite the attribute to your “opimg/comp1/OUT_LEAF2”. you wont need a second baseColorMap attribute in the shader itself.
i have uploaded a file with the correction though i switched the paths in the img's so you might need to change them back in the composite.

Add an “Add” sop after the scatter. then under Particles set “Add Particle System”.
Or like mentioned switch the H11 viewport and it should show the points.

hi, recently installed 12.1.77 and there seems to be a bug with the input stamp.. it doesnt update correctly when i modify an extrude. what happens it creates several faces while i modify a value… it only seems to happen when i have a stamp input and several copies. once i double shift+b the copy node it updates correct.
it works fine in 12.1.033 and below..
i'm still learning houdini so maybe i'm doing something wrong?
