Hi
File sequences works fine here but quicktime doesn't.
Make sure you use “$F4” instead of the actual frame number when you load file sequences. If you tick “Show file sequence as one entry” in the file dialog before you click on the file, this will happen automatically.
-b
PS:
Just a friendly tip: If nobody answers a post here, ( which is not unusual ) it's probably because people are too busy or don't know or don't want to or some other perfectly legit reason.
Read the manual, search the net, use your imagination and figure it out yourself so you can help the next guy, or go and have a couple of beers. I don't know. If you want direct answers, Sesi support is your best bet. They are very responsive and very helpful.
In my opinion this forum is on of the best software forums i have ever used. Frequented by beginners in one end and super advanced professionals in the other. Everybody try to help the best they can and the tone is usually very polite and friendly.
Well, enough of me “mini ranting” Hope you figure it out.

Houdini Learning Materials » What is the equivalent of a place3dtexture node in Houdini?

Hehe. That took some serious digging but turned out to be super easy
You need to make a null on scene level with the “Output transforms as render space (RIB/IFD)” on the Render tab checked. Then in your Pxr Projector -> Coordinate Sytem field, you just write the path to the null “/obj/myNull”.
Parent the null to your projection cam and you're good to go.

Turns out this field needs the name of a Renderman coordinate system as a string. Setting it to “current” will make the projector use the current camera coordinate system it seem.
How do i define/point to the coordinate system of another camera thoug?

Hi
I'm trying to figure out how to do a camera projection with Renderman Ris in Houdini. The Pxr Projector node has a field called “Coordinate System”. What am i supposed to point to here?
The tooltip says: “Name of coordinate system transform (e.g place3dtexture node in Maya)” I don't know Maya so i'm hoping someone can tell me what the equivalent of the place3dtexture in Maya is in Houdini.
Any help appreciated.

Hi
I'm not sure what kind of node your'e trying to use this on but in an Attribute Wrangle node (or similar) you can use: @opinput0_P.y for input 1 and @opinput1_P.y for input 2 etc.

Hi
In a RenderMan Ris Rop, i want to output an AOV matte for all objects
using a Pxr Disney shader. I'm connecting a Pxr Matte ID node
where Matte Texture 0 is set to 1,0,0 into the “inputAOV” port of the
Disney shader. So far so good.
In the Ris Rop i have one AOV. What is the correct parameter name for the
“ri_aovariable1” field in the Properties -> Ri AOV tab in order to generate
the output from the shader into the red channel of this AOV?
First I thought it was “matteTexture0” since that is a parameter on the Pxr
MatteID node, but it doesn't seem to work. I also tried “MatteID0” and “color MatteID0” as this is mentioned in the Renderman docs: https://renderman.pixar.com/resources/current/RenderMan/PxrMatteID.html [renderman.pixar.com]
Any help appreciated

Hi
I'm not sure you can pass programatic objects from node to node like that. Correct me if i'm wrong though. Can't you put all your code in one Python node?
