Hi guys,
To test and work with Finite Elements, I put a low resolution and a high res torus in my scene. The problem is after embedding the high res torus, the result is a hollow mesh without tetrahedra.
I attached a snapshot from my scene.

I solved the problem by connecting the “Principled Shader” node and a “Texture” node to a “Compute Lighting”. The Texture node is where I put my transparency image in.

Hi Guys;
As you can see in my attached file, I applied a transparency texture to my geometry.
My problems are :
1) The transparent area doesn't render correctly.
2) The transparency doesn't affect Alpha !
Any idea to solve these problems..?

Hi;
When I start to render my scene , I got this Error:
I have a Box in my scene that is converted to openVDB.
I delete everything except my box, but Houdini complaint and shows same error. Does anyone know what this error message means and why it happened …?

Please take a look at my attached files. I would like to extrude primitives on a grid randomly, but the expression doesn't work..!
I use “rand(@ptnum)” in Distance parameter of Poly_Extrude node.

Here is list of my render times, when I use my computer(st1) to render a scene :
st1 as Server and client, using HQueue: 41 second.
st1 as Server and client, using DeadLine: 33 second.
st1 render to disk, without Network-Render: 6 second.
I can not find out why Network-Rendering is 6 time slower.
Any idea ?

Can I view the HQueue web interface by opening a web browser on my Client machine and navigating to
"http/<server_name>:5000" ?

I installed HQueue “server” and “client” on my machine (DNS: st1), and HQueue “client” on other machines(DNS: st2 , st3).

Hi Guys;
I tried to use Thinkbox Deadline v8.0 , to render a scene.
I have a Alembic mesh in my scene. Houdini loads the mesh perfectly but when I submit the scene , I got this error in Deadline-Monitoring panel:

I don't test your suggestion (I think it works), but I need particles affect FLIP fluid and, surface of FLIP affects motion of particles.
For example : Assume a gas stream hits the surface of water. So, the gas stream pushes water away, and the water surface cause to deviate gas stream…

I would like to affect surface of a FLIP fluid using particles stream. So, how could I detect َcollision between particles and FLIP fluid surfaces?
When my particles collide with a rigid body, everything is ok , but they pass through the FLIP fluid surface.
