Hi!
Anyone has any idea where the guided simulation settings moved from RBD bullet solver?
I'm following this tutorial: https://www.sidefx.com/tutorials/rbd-sop-solver-guided-simulation/ [www.sidefx.com]
Thank you!

Rigging » Rigging - KineFX - APEX?

Hi, all!
There's 2 things I wanted to clarify, hopefully with your help:
- What would you recommend to watch a propos of rigging a model from scratch?
- Then - I don't get it yet - should I use KineFX or APEX to do the animation?
I understand that one (KIneFX) is the part of the other (APEX) now.
Thank you!

Houdini Indie and Apprentice » Rendering Lines in Mantra

BackwardsCaptain
Hello! I followed a youtube tutorial about creating procedural grass [www.youtube.com] and I am trying to render it using Mantra. My lines are set up as Primitive Type Polygon. I set up my material, set up the geometry node toRender Polygon Curves as Subdivision (Mantra)
and toShade Curves As Surfaces
but my lines look more like wide planes and I can't seem to adjust the width (see the attached images).
I am clearly missing something simple but I can't seem to figure it out or find the answer when I poke around online. I am a total Houdini noob and any help would be appreciated.
I've created Attribute Create with pscale after the Line-Bend-Resample.
Helped.

It might be related to the connection order on your merge. The merge node has to decide which attribute "wins" when the streams are combined. Make sure each color node is running in the same context. (i.e. all color is on points or all color is on primitives. Mixing and matching those contexts can cause loss of data.
Thank you of the feedback!
Oh, yes, merge has a mis-match of attributes, it turns out.
I decided to delete some of the attributes. When shop_materialpath is out of question it gives me the green of trees but all the terrain shading disappeares
Very intriguing problem to solve!
ps: color is on points, yeah
ps2: I think it's the last height field_visualize gives the issues as well

Salut!
So, I was following this cool tutorial: Your text to link here... [www.youtube.com]
But can't figure out why my trees ain't green in the end?
Should anything else be assigned in the height field visualise node?
Thank you!

Day 31 - Sci-fi
It was as fun as it was intense.
So much inspiration from all the artists!
(can't choose the one. Maybe the first)
