I think this is a valuable topic. Right off the top of my head I’d say for new artists using Houdini, it would be helpful to have:
1. More presets. More of an elaboration on shelf tools.
2. Material libraries, with Karma presets.
3. A continual evolution of the help docs, with more examples.
There are, however, many resources out there already that fill these gaps. To me, it’s a long, engaging journey to learn more and more.

Is there a way to have the default floating window open in the middle of the screen? As opposed to the far upper right, if that's where you click on the Floating Operator Chooser button.

Hello all,
How would I select ONLY the last, outer points in a copy to points node?
For example, if I have a line, and I copy this line to a sphere using copy to points, resulting in a spikey ball--- how would I select only the outer, last points on the spikes?

Hello all, I can't seem to find a way to hide the HDRI map when I render in Karma. It's off in the viewport. Anyone find a way to hide it so the background in the render is black?

I have a scene with the XPU setup at 1920x1080, same camera settings, ---but MPLAY only renders at 1280x720.
Anyone else seeing this issue?

Hello all,
Quick question. I’m able to import Megascans textures as Mantra principled, and they render with Karma CPU, with displacement.
However, XPU won’t render displacement with the same mantra principled shader.
Am I correct in assuming I need to rebuild by hand the shader network by hand to get displacement?

Hello all,
I am using a pop color node to color my particles within the DOPnet. How would I promote this to a Cd attribute, so I can have Arnold read it for the particle color? I don't see any way of doing this from within the DOP.

never underestimate the power a fresh tool, a fresh approach, can bring to your work.
Houdini, for me at least, unlocks whole different parts of my creative mind. It doesn't work like any other software. It can be frustrating, but also very, very invigorating to use. Borderline magical when you have those "ahhhaaaaaa!" moments.
Give it a try.
