I have a sim that I am working on. I have a grid of hexagons, which I have added a static object to.
When I run it, the fluid goes right through. What did I do wrong? I have tried adding a null to the hexagon grid, but that didn't do it.
Any ideas?
Thanks so much, ad

I just went to amazon and this whole thing is @$2600. You could get less RAM and a couple different parts and probably hit your goal, you could also get some parts from Ebay….
Inasmuch as I'm considering something like this….

Houdini Indie and Apprentice » Where to find a decent rigged character?

Ive been looking for a decent plain rigged character, like the dancer in the H17 promo, but most of what I can find is either super pricey, or super cruddy, or super weird….
I'm just looking for something decent to practice with. Anyone know of something halfway decent?

Houdini Indie and Apprentice » Hexagon grid with booled hexagons?

I’m trying to wrap my head around recreating a sim I did inC4d, the root of it is a floor grid made from hexagons (all of which have cylinders booled out of them, and rotated randomly at 60 degrees.
The fluid is poured over the floor, I’m taking a bit of a divide and conquor approach to eating this elephant. Is there a procedural way of doing this? I’m thinking of cinemas cloner in object mode. Copy/paste seems like the same concept, but can it be done in a hex grid?

I figured it out.
I launched Houdini from the Admin account and installed a non-commercial license, as opposed to just launching the License administrator. I got the license installed logged back in as myself and im off!!
Thanks for your help.

Allright. I am using the Apprentice Edition of Houdini
I didnt get a license during Installation (should I have?)
I am using SP3 for win2k
I get the connecting to license server window when I try and start anything in Houdini.
I uninstalled again rebooted, logged in as administrator, reinstalled Houdini and rebooted.
I can get into the License administrator as admin, but when I go to get the key, it says my email and password are incorrect.
When I try and start Houdini as myself (have admin privelages) I get stuck.
Help please!
thanks - adam (eager to get houdini-ing!)
