Hi,
I tried to right click a VOPSOP node in Houdini and use the “upload to asset store” function. I got “Your Houdini session could not be found”.

Hi,
I've been creating categories and sub categories for my assets to have a clear and organised Tab Menu. But this seems to be disregarded.
Instead they appear in the “Uninstalled assets” menu.
Is this correct?
Do I need to do something in order to place them properly in the menu?
Do we have to follow certain guidelines for organizing the assets in the menu?
Cheers
Kim

One possible solution is to allow authors to “hide” assets that are just there for dependency reasons. These would be downloaded but not show in the catalog.

I just have uploaded a very small component that I use in different places but is too small I think to have around in the store. It will make sense as part of other assets.

I don't know how other users experience this, but I liked the old arrangement much more that the pure alphabetic ordering there is now. This takes me much more time to find an expression since I often have to recall a name.
With the old ordering there was this context ordering which I think was much more useful.

You could L-systems with attributes on them to later on copy the specific geometry you need.
You could also take this into a forLoop and build your own itteration to “grow” the level. This would allow you to search for self intersections etc..

Hi everybody,
Just trying to store a texture in the digital asset. I've been looking around on how to access the image using opdef but I cannot get it to work and I don't understand what I'm doing wrong.
I've added a small example file
Cheers

Hi Tom,
Thanks for your scene! Very interesting to have a look at. But I have to do the complete function within the Forloop. So I'll go for graham's solution.
The actual scene I want to use this system has a different selection method.
Cheers!!

Hi Graham,
Thanks a lot for your post!! It is a much cleaner scene. As for the colors it was done in an attempt to make problems visible for me.
I did not explain myself properly.
I was able to remove the spheres, but I wanted to have the opposite result.
So that the selected objects remain. Now I need to be able to do this within the forLoop since I have to do some operations on the selected objects within that loop.
I am really struggling with this.
Cheers

Hi Everybody,
I'd like to be able to do the following.
I have a scene of spheres(collection).
I select one sphere(start) of the collection.
The start sphere is then selecting the closest sphere in it's neighborhood(new).
I delete the start sphere from the collection
and use the new sphere as the start sphere to again select the closest neighbor.
I'm doing this in a foreach sop. But I cannot get it to work.
Cheers

I've uninstalled the wacom driver.
Installed the previous version.
Houdini worked again.
I reinstalled the new version in order to track the bug.
But Houdini works

Hi everybody,
I currently have a parent chain of objects, and I'd like to fetch the world position in CHOP's of the last object in the chain.
I can get the position in local space since it is reading out the channels, but is there a way of getting the world space positions as well?
Cheers

They don't have to… Zbrush shows directly what you can do with the tool. Houdini on the other hand you have to experience, in order to really see what it can do for you.
