Its OK with a channel reference its absolutely possible, but i want to know if it is possible with a parameter from other context or network.

Its possible to import a parameter from other network? for example i define a color map string in a vex vop surface and export these parameter; then i create a vex vop shader and, how can import these parameter string that i define in the vex vop surface to use in the vex vop shader? it this possible??
i try with a parameter in the vex vop shader with the same name as the para meter from the vex vop surface and didnt work.

How can i put the colors of a material in the points of a grid (for example) to perform a copy of a box in each point; and each point take his color from the reference point ?
It should be from a Material SOP not from a texture from disk or COP file.

The proto install driver only works in the VC7 version, in the VC8 didnt work it put a c++ error why?

Yes, when the command line ask me if i want to do a test render i let it do that, but it didnt modify directly the rendermn.ini, it put a rendermn.ini file in MyDocuments windows folder, and i manualy copy the line in that rendermn.ini to the correct rendermn.ini located in the renderman pro server instalation, i copy that line at the end of the rendermn.ini.

Please how can i render with prman directly in mplay?, i follow the tutorial at the odforce.net (prman setup) everything is ok, i hit render from the output node and its work property, but if i want to render directly on mplay, i have to install one of the plug ins that come with proto_install command, after that when i hit render again it display a c++ error and in the houdini console it shows
“D04001 {WARNING} DspyName couldn't find requested driver C/DOCUME~1/NECROB~1/RI_SHA~1/d_houdini.dll (No se puede encontrar el módulo especificado.)
R90011 {SEVERE} Can't open display image ip”
How can i do? please help me!!!!

Hi
When i load an H8.2 file with a finish muscle rig in H9, cant load right, it says that a profile is missed, the muscle node in H8.2 is quite different from the muscle node in the H9, the muscle node in H9 didnt have a profile curve to control the shape of the muscle by default; in the help of H9 it says that it has an attribute that the user can switch between profile and handles, where is that option in the node?
please i need a fast answer.
