I have primitive groups cube0, cube2, cube3…cube63
I have 64 points.
I want to move any of the 64 points easily and the cube group will move accordingly.
lets say, each point is in the center of every cube group(its not really matter).
any help will be welcome !

you both right, still.
in my opinion it should not be that way I`m consider my self very technical and i think some nodes need to be “perfect” so the artists will not spend time on this kind of issues.
btw in blender it works great.

Jeff its so great to learn from your solutions,
but i wont take my words back,
Sidefx should fix\change the way artist can extrude text\Ai\EPS and control it.
I wonder (from artist\creator point of view) why I need to know so much in order to extrude and bevel text…

Try to run this simulation on older versions of Houdini 11.
while i did tests like this one

the simulation worked fine on version 11.0.547
but not on the newer ones …
didn't check since then if something changed.
try also to run it on different hardware.

thanks mates but your solution still show cuts in the shape.
I encounter inconsistent weird behavior with importing Ai or and eps files
and getting different results with the same nodes and parameters …
My (modest) opinion is that Sidefx should check again their font,extrude,polyextrude,polybevel,file(Ai file related) nodes.
or at-least give better guidance if its our (brain bug) fault :-)

I would like to manage fonts i downloaded from http://www.dafont.com/ [dafont.com] (for example)
and use them in Houdini.
In Ununtu 10.04 Its easy to install the fonts,
still, how i`m link the Houdini fonts manager to ubuntu font folder.
I tried to import font to Houdini (using the manger) from folder on Hard drive but it didn't work as it worked well in windows.
any direction will be welcome !

Hello!
I`m start to render more and more this days with Houdini,
if some one can direct to easy and comfort way to Set up render passes in Houdini 11 it will be great.
I`m work on little project (with no passes)
