Yep, see attached asset. It contains an Object Merge node that has its Object 1 parameter exposed at the asset level as “Curve”. In UE4, this becomes a Houdini Input called “Curve” that accepts curves and correctly moves the curve and the end result mesh with the asset transform.
The attached asset also has a default curve that is used if no input curve is given.

Seems like most of the capture points do work, only some are left behind. Maybe expand the capture volumes? If that still doesn't work, please send an email to support@sidefx.com with your issue and someone will help you further.

You mean a blueprint containing a Houdini asset or a blueprint made from a Houdini asset?

There's no easy way to do it at the moment. But this has been asked before so I'll bump the priority on this RFE.

The Houdini Engine plugin for Unreal does not support animations coming from Houdini at the moment, at least not in the editor or at runtime in a game. The atlas is your best bet at this time.

The Houdini Indie license can run both Houdini and Houdini Engine (including the Unity plugin). There are no extra licenses that need to be installed.
That said, did you by any chance activate a Houdini Engine 30-day trial? If you go to your Houdini License Administrator, make sure you do not have any regular (non-Indie) licenses of Houdini or Houdini Engine in there. Regular commercial licenses cannot open indie assets in any Houdini Engine plugin.

Just a note on this:
The issue is that curve inputs are created in world space in Houdini but they are tied to the asset in UE4. This presents a mismatch of how geometry inputs to a SOP asset work. It's a bit of a workflow issue, for sure, that should be fixed at some point. Unfortunately, that's not trivial to do at this point.
There is a relatively simple workaround that should fix this issue. You have to change your asset to be an OBJ asset.
You can do this by marking your instantiated SOP asset as editable and then creating a new asset out of the OBJ that contains your SOP. For each of your SOP inputs, you have to create an Object Merge SOP for which you expose the Object 1 parameter to the top level of your new asset. For curve inputs, you have to make sure the Transform parameter on the Object Merge SOP is set to None.

Thanks olliRJL! I added your diff to the Unreal plugin. It's not official Linux support but your changes were pretty simple so at least now it will build for people who want to experiment. Cheers!

Hi Damian, does this mean RFE's are no longer being accepted for the Unity plug-in?
Not at all! Please continue submitting both Bugs and RFEs. It's always valuable to know what is being requested by actual users and how much demand there is for a particular feature. We do prioritize accordingly.

There is no trial for Houdini Indie. You'll have to buy it and have your asset converted to .hdalc (limited commercial) by emailing support@sidefx.com.
No license of Houdini Engine will allow assets created in Apprentice (.hdanc (non-commercial) to load in Unity so even if you get our free Houdini Engine Indie license you won't be able to load your asset.
In other words, Houdini Indie is not free while Houdini Engine Indie is free but will not allow loading of your .hdanc asset.
