hi everyone:
this is from the spiderman3. using level set to merge object smoothly. I tried several times in houdini.But it not works.
could some nice people give a example to show how can I acheive this effect just using simple geometries?

I take you method and work it out. It seems to be a good solution for the problem.
It is a part of a much bigger project, and there are still some problems.

here is what I get now. The question is more and more approaching its goal. I can find the primtive normal and the point normal. But there is still some problems that I do not know how to put the point normal and the primtive normal together to compare. Hope some nice guy HELPS! :shock:

Hi everyone:
I am an architect from China. Recently I learned some thing from CMIVFX procedure city DVD, and try to put it into my works. But I want more precise control so I just not use the creep SOP to deform the geomety.
Now I want to use a lattice to deform my building based on 2d pattern,but it seems did't works. Dose any body kown how to deform a geomety by 2d pattern?
