Hello,

I want to render sprites with the Mantra Sprite Procedural shader.
If I render with the ‘old’ H8 Mantra ROP , the sprites render fine.

But when I render with the H9 Mantra ROP, I don't get any ‘alpha’ channel…

What am I doing wrong?

Using Houdini 9.0.795, windows xp, not so bad computer.

thanks,

bern

Try using a VEX Layered surface SHOP for your sprite and set the texture map to Diffuse + Alpha.

I had the same trouble when using the Decal SHOP in H9.

Hello Alanw,

I'm using a Vex Layered Surface (see attached hip) and set the texture to ‘diffuse+Alpha’, but the problem is still there:

Mantra 8 renders fine, Mantra 9 does not…

thanks again,

I only messed with the H9 Geometry object in your scene. I moved where you were calling your procedural to the Geometry Tab and put your material in the Shader Tab and that seemed to fix it up.
