Hi all,

I am sorry if this has been asked, but doing a search on this site and on google did not help:

I recently upgraded to Redhat 9.0 and tried to install the Apprentice Edition. The installation went OK until I tried to get things started. I think it was complaining about some library issue. I don't have the message right now, but I will post again to give more detail.

My question is: cand the Apprentic Edition run under 9.0, or should I downgrade to something like 7.x or 8.x? Or I also have a copy of Slackware around that I would not mind trying.

If it can run under 9.0, I will post the exact error I got.

Thanks. nico

RedHat 9 is currently not supported by Side Effects officially. Some people have had good luck running it. See this post to the forum for more info. Definite problems with Gnome and metacity with Houdini.

You will also want to set the following environment variable in a c-shell:

setenv LD_ASSUME_KERNEL 2.4.1
