Hi,
I tried to make the pivot of a soft transform at the center of the group selected, so I wrote $GCX, $GCY and $GCZ in the pivot fields, but this doesn't seem to work, although it works fine with a transform SOP. Is it really a bug, or am I doing something wrong?

Can you be more specific about what you're trying to softxlate? This works for me if I use a sphere(primitive), copied three times with an offset, then pump it into the softxform. Entering what you did into the pivot and my transform rotates about the centre of the three spheres and not the first sphere, which is what I get if I don't enter the $GCX, etc. There is one thing I noticed and I'm not sure if it's just the docs, but softxform specifically says the “point group”, not a primitive group. Regular transform just says “the geometry”. Could this be related? Might be nothing…

Cheers,

J.C.

ok, actually it seems to work fine, but sometimes, the mnaipulator needs to be refreshed so that it shows in the correct place. ( I guess )
