Hi everybody,

I wonder how do you “mass edit” lights, for example I have 20 lights and I want to edit them all at the same time, let's say uncheck “contribute to diffuse” or the same “look at” for all, without having to edit light by light

Thanks in advance

You could use the opparm command in the textport.

Throw all the lights into a group. (group1 for example)

Then in the textport go to /obj
and type opparm @group1 diffuse “off”

Hmmm, ok, and how do I know the name of a parameter, let's say I want to turn off “Photons contribute to Direct illumination” .

Ho and another question
If I want to parent my 20 lights to a null, do I have to plug them one by one ?

thanks

Julien
Nordin
opscript a light, or any object you want to know the parameter name of. That will give you all the info on that Op.
Undertaker
yep, it's working

thanks !

Select all the lights then type ‘t’ in the network pane to switch to the List view. Under the “Input” column, change the “no input” of any light to the null and all lights' Input should be changed as well. Type ‘t’ again to switch to the Worksheet/Network view.

Easy peasy. 8)

Cheers!
