attribute (uv) transfer bug?

hi!

i would like to transfer uv's from a lopoly object to the hipoly version.
i know attribtransfer is great for this but it ignores the cuts on the
lopoly uv's, and connects (interpolates) between the cuts on the hipoly
one. this way every place where i have cuts in the uv will have wrong
~waving textures.
this was in buid 324. i tried 388 and the new 401 and it's even worse.
uv cuts also ignored, additionally uv's aren't transferred correctly (it
looks like “wrap around mode” or whatever).
am i doing something wrong or is it a bug?

The behaviour you saw in 388 and 401 will be fixed in tomorrow's build of Houdini (10.0.407).

has anyone found a solution to this? it seems to be happening in 11.0.590
