Hello!

Ive downloaded Houdini Aprentice edition and after installation I get this error

houdini: relocation error: /usr/hfs6.1/dsolib/libHoudiniUT.so: symbol errno, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference


This also happenes with other softwares. Its some library and then this: symbol errno, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference.

Im running Radhat9 and have just installed it today.

run a search for redhat on this forum, you'll find your answers somewhere there

A tip from stevenong

RH9 is not supported and also the threading model is different.

To get Houdini running, you have to set the LD_ASSUME_KERNEL environment variable which is a Linux specific variable.

setenv LD_ASSUME_KERNEL 2.4.1
