I am testing some particle stuff, but haven't had the chance much to mess around with ROPs yet. So I was wondering what is a quickest and easiest way to render out test animation?

thanks

flipbook
right click on the little render icon and you'll see it in the menu
note - I think there is a bug(?) which makes it hard to kill - if you only need to see a smaller range there are settings for that…

I right-click on render icon, but don't see anything with the name “flipbook” listed!

It's a new feature with 6.1…I assume you're using something older?

Cheers,

Actually I am using 6.0 because we use 6.0 in our class, and I was having trouble openning certain 6.1 files in 6.0. So I ended up reinstalling 6.0 for the duration of my course projects.

Go into your outputs and lay down a open gl render.

Set the frame range and you should be able to access the
output operator through the render button.

If your output picture is set to “md” your animation should show up
in an mplay window.
