Vex Shaded display

Can anyone clue me in on why I can't see a texture map in vex shaded display when I am using UVTexture or UVProject? It renders correctly, but the viewport display shows the textured obj as only one color ( seems to be the bottom right corner of my test image ( a jpg ) which I guess is pixel (0,0)– what am I doing wrong?

Look at the SHOP that you are using(whether created automatically from the VOP network or an existing VEX SHOP) - look in the OpenGL tab/at the bottom. Layer 1 /Texture map needs to have the image in there, or a reference to the path/name of the map. For now, just put the map in there to verify.

Also, if it's pink it can mean the map is missing, and also check your viewport display settings(“d” over a viewport) and ensure Misc/Display Textures is turned on.
